A large number of big companies usually hire private detectives to learn if the candidates they have short listed for various job positions are telling the truth. It is a tough world out there and the competition is tough. To be sure that you are hiring the right candidate who is honest and who is telly you the truth about his background and his achievements, you may often have to indulge in a background check. This can be easily arranged through reference checks, but you cannot be too sure when the money you are offering is high and the position is of value.
Hiring a private detective is a good idea, however, when you hire one you have to be sure that they have the credentials to do a thorough check and have the resources to validate the information that you have. There are indeed a number of detective agencies in the country who can help you with these services, but you will have to be careful when you pick one as you do not want to end up wasting your time and you would also want to ensure that you could trust them

1) Individual or Agency: Depending on your needs you could choose to tie up with an agency or simply hire a single individual who could from time to time do some background checks for you. 2) Reputation: It is very important that you check the reputation of the agency or the individual that you are hiring. Hiring someone who cannot provide you what you want will only end up in you wasting time. So, make sure that you do your background check as well once, and then you can stay rest assured.
3) Money: The fees that the private detective or the agency charges should be something you should consider as well, make sure that you analyse the services you need and the level of effort that has to be put in by the agency or individual. Also, make sure that you have spoken to a couple of agencies or private detectives before you choose the right one for your company.
